- Condor Arlines website condor.com/fly-home helps coordinate special flights to Germany.
- Leisure airline will carry at least 50,000 German tourists in the coming few days.
March 18, 2020. Condor Airlines is part of the German Federal Foreign Office’s airlift initiative returning its citizens and passengers from vacation destinations in numerous special flights.
At the specially configured website, www.condor.com/fly-home, German tourists currently abroad can use the online form to report their current location. Based on this, the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send the required special flights, for which Condor will also be used.
Tourists informed of their return flight should fill out a form for the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to their flight in order to be later transferred.
Condor, Germany’s most popular leisure airline, is currently planning almost 180 regular return flights from vacation destinations in special flights until Sunday. These will be launched in cooperation with tourism operators and the German Federal Foreign Office.
Condor will carry at least 50,000 tourists to Germany in the coming few days and is considering increasing its cooperation with more flights.
Condor’s return flight schedules are being updated several times a day; passengers can consult them at www.condor.com/aktuelle-infos.
All Condor passengers with a planned departure within the next four weeks may reserve their ticket again free of charge without having to commit to a fixed date or destination. This also applies to passengers with tickets to countries whose entry restrictions have not been extended.
As a result of the travel warning issued by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Condor’s respective departing flights may now only carry passengers who are citizens of the destination country and are returning home on their flight.
“Our teams are working day and night to ensure that tourists in the destinations can return home as quickly as possible. We regret the waiting times in the direct customer service line at this time due to high call volume,” said Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor Airlines.
Guests whose flight is not scheduled for the next 72 hours and who are not at their vacation destination should contact the airline directly.
The foregoing applies regardless of whether or not the German citizens in different parts of the world have a Condor ticket; it is also aimed at passengers outside Condor’s current destinations.
