Public transportation in Costa Rica covers the entire territory of the country. If you want to take a bus from San Jose, capital of Costa Rica to the airport, the bus terminals in San José are located on Second Avenue, north side of the Nuestra Señora de La Merced Catholic Church.

Most buses carrying passengers from the beaches of Guanacaste and Puntarenas, make their stop at the airport.
If you wish to travel from the airport to a beach there is bus service that can be taken in the city of Alajuela or San Jose.
